CAWI aims specifically to provide care and find homes for unwanted or surrendered animals, rehabilitate orphaned, sick or injured animals without owners, in addition to promoting responsible pet ownership and providing information to the general public on the welfare and prevention of cruelty to animals.
The CAWI OP is our main fundraiser. We are open Monday – Friday, 10am till 5pm. We sell furniture, clothes, household items, books, electrical goods… and just about any thing else you can think of.

Charley and Pippa

Tasha

This exuberant young dog was bought up on the end of a rope due to lack of fencing at her first home, which frustrated a lively young girl to bits. Once CAWI rehomed Tasha she is now thoroughly happy with a family to play with and lots of kids to love her .
Jazz

Jazz was rescued by CAWI at the death… literally. This sweet old girl was adopted within days of her rescue and her new owners couldn’t be more pleased. Jazz now resides happily in Brunswick Heads and gives her new owners hours of pleasure.
