Mia is a young kelpie cross who had a litter of 4 pups on 16th August 2017. The dad is a boxer x mastiff, so her pups will grow up to be quite big! Mia is a very sweet dog, who is extremely shy and wary of new people around her puppies at the moment, but is growing more confident every day. She has a couple of favourite people in her foster family who she loves cuddles with and is gradually building trust with and warming up to the rest of the residents (both human and canine!). She will be up for adoption once all her pups have gone to their homes at 8 weeks of age. Expressions of interest are welcome for Mia until this time.

  • Basil is the white and tan boy who is cheeky and playful, he’s the one starting the games with his siblings.
  • Luna is the only girl with a tan coat and white dash on her nose. She is a tough little one, making sure she’s not pushed around by her brothers. She loves to play and is a little attention seeker.
  • Diesel is tan with black and white markings on his face, he likes to play but is the cruisiest of them all and loves a little snuggle.
  • Hank is all tan and has a sweet temperament. He’s a curious explorer and has a playful spirit.

The adoption fee for the puppies is $350, which includes microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment up to date, and their desexing at 6 months of age.

Applications are now open for the puppies – please complete the Adoption Application form available on the Contact page of our website or pick up the application form from our Op Shop in Brunswick Heads. Applications will be processed starting Friday 22nd September.

Private Adoption

It is with broken hearts that we are offering our beloved girl, Asha for adoption.

Asha is a wonderful 2 year old mastiff/staffy cross who we rescued at 3 months old. She had been through terrible abuse and came to us frightened and scarred. We have worked with her with the aid of a professional trainer to help her with her anxiety.

Around the home Asha is a delight. She is very loving, loyal and affectionate with whoever gains her trust. She will happily spend hours on end curled up on her doggy bed in the living room and is very relaxed and well-behaved. She is fully house-trained and obeys all basic commands. She is also fully up to date with all vaccinations and health checks.

We would love dearly to keep beautiful Asha but the catch is that she is not good with children and we now have a 2 month old baby. Asha needs to go to a no-children situation with an owner that knows how to handle a dog assertively. Asha is incredibly loyal and genuinely only wants to please her owners. She will do absolutely anything for food/treats. She has come a very long way from the scared little dog we brought home and I believe she will continue to grow into an even more wonderful dog with the right care and attention.

Her anxiety exhibits itself socially and her behaviour varies from very submissive to fearful aggression (ie. high pitched barking, nipping). She should always be walked on lead in public situations. We have taken her to dog groups and she is very submissive and happy in those situations. However she can be unpredictable when meeting new dogs and should always be supervised.

Ideally Asha would thrive in a close relationship with her owner, lots of cuddles (she’s velvety soft!) and perhaps some land to roam on, or daily walks. We also run her on a treadmill at home and it’s her favourite activity, she loves it! It is important that Asha is kept away from children as she has shown unpredictable behaviour around them and her new owners will need to be responsible in this respect. She has never hurt a child, but children trigger her anxiety and with that arousal comes unpredictability.

We are in no rush to re-home Asha and will be waiting until the right person and the right situation comes along. We want only the best for our girl and we know that she will make the right person so happy with her sweet, loyal and affectionate nature. We are also happy to offer Asha on a trial basis to see if she is the right fit for you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more pictures, info or to arrange to meet Asha.
