Private Ads

CAWI is NOT involved in a private adoption apart from providing this advertising space. Enquiries should be directed to the dog’s owner (contact details in Stats table at end of each ad). Don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions regarding the dog’s behaviour, personality, annoying habits etc. If possible, take the dog on a trial period before you commit to ownership. We also recommend that you ask for permission to contact the dog’s vet to enquire about its health.
If you want to advertise your dog here, see bottom of LAST page for details of how it works

Private Adoption

It is with broken hearts that we are offering our beloved girl, Asha for adoption.

Asha is a wonderful 2 year old mastiff/staffy cross who we rescued at 3 months old. She had been through terrible abuse and came to us frightened and scarred. We have worked with her with the aid of a professional trainer to help her with her anxiety.

Around the home Asha is a delight. She is very loving, loyal and affectionate with whoever gains her trust. She will happily spend hours on end curled up on her doggy bed in the living room and is very relaxed and well-behaved. She is fully house-trained and obeys all basic commands. She is also fully up to date with all vaccinations and health checks.

We would love dearly to keep beautiful Asha but the catch is that she is not good with children and we now have a 2 month old baby. Asha needs to go to a no-children situation with an owner that knows how to handle a dog assertively. Asha is incredibly loyal and genuinely only wants to please her owners. She will do absolutely anything for food/treats. She has come a very long way from the scared little dog we brought home and I believe she will continue to grow into an even more wonderful dog with the right care and attention.

Her anxiety exhibits itself socially and her behaviour varies from very submissive to fearful aggression (ie. high pitched barking, nipping). She should always be walked on lead in public situations. We have taken her to dog groups and she is very submissive and happy in those situations. However she can be unpredictable when meeting new dogs and should always be supervised.

Ideally Asha would thrive in a close relationship with her owner, lots of cuddles (she’s velvety soft!) and perhaps some land to roam on, or daily walks. We also run her on a treadmill at home and it’s her favourite activity, she loves it! It is important that Asha is kept away from children as she has shown unpredictable behaviour around them and her new owners will need to be responsible in this respect. She has never hurt a child, but children trigger her anxiety and with that arousal comes unpredictability.

We are in no rush to re-home Asha and will be waiting until the right person and the right situation comes along. We want only the best for our girl and we know that she will make the right person so happy with her sweet, loyal and affectionate nature. We are also happy to offer Asha on a trial basis to see if she is the right fit for you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more pictures, info or to arrange to meet Asha.

Bronson and Chica

Private Adoption

It has been a very hard decision to look for another home for our beloved pooches but we feel we can not give them the time they need with a baby in the house and hate nothing more than the idea of them being stuck out the back on their own all the time.
We are in no rush to rehome them and will only rehome them if we can find the perfect home. They must get exercise daily, lots of cuddles and they must be with someone who can keep on top of training. These two dogs will seriously melt your heart once you get to know them. Bronson gets rave reviews from the vet nurses whenever he visits the vets and I’ve never met a more loyal dog than Chica.
Please only contact us if you are serious and in the right position to own these pups for the rest of your life.

Bronson – is a beautiful big boy who loves walk and attention. He doesn’t need a mountain of exercise just one or two short walks a day. He likes nothing more than snuggling on the couch at night. He is not suitable for anyone with children below 14 as he is too boisterous. Loves dogs and humans.

3.5 years

Chica –  is a loyal girl who is very protective of the house and her humans. She would make a great guard dog. She is very gentle with her humans and wants to kiss and cuddle all day long. She would suit someone who can give her time everyday, whether she is following you around the house or on long walks. She does not need a lot of exercise either but one or two walks a day keep her happy. She would be absolutely devastated if she was separated from her Bronson. She absolutely adores him.
