Homed Dogs

Occasionally we like to post follow-ups of dogs that have recently been adopted and settled into a new home. Perhaps you’ll see some of the dogs that were previously listed for adoption.

If you’re a sucker for a happy ending, have a look at CAWI’S DOG TALES – you’ll see some heart-warming stories.

Bali

Bali is a young staffy x boxer who came into our care from the pound. She’s sweet natured, loves going for walks and is excited to meet everyone. With a bit of training, she will fast become your new best friend! If you’re interested in giving Bali a forever home, please complete the Adoption Application form on the Contact page of our website www.cawi.org.au or contact Vicky on 0458461935.

Basil

Update: 13/11/17 Basil has gone on he’s trial period with he’s new family.

is a 3 month old pup, the last of Mia’s litter waiting for a home. He is Kelpie crossed with Boxer x Mastiff, so will likely be a bigger size dog. He is a happy, curious pup with a cheeky personality. He loves to play and has spent almost all of his life around his siblings plus other dogs, cats, kids and even the occasional horse! Basil has already been learning how to be a well-behaved dog and would like to continue his puppy training in his new home.

If you are interested in meeting and adopting Basil, please complete the Adoption Application form available on the Contact page of our website or you can pick one up from our Op Shop in Brunswick Heads. Please return forms by email to cawidogs2483@gmail.com or in person at the Op Shop. Alternatively, contact Vicky on 0458461935 for more information about Basil. Applications and enquiries will be responded to on Fridays.

Coco

UPDATE: 11/9/17 Coco has now been adopted!

Coco is a 2year old Greyhound with a sweet, gentle and friendly nature. After being found at a service centre with no owner in sight for over two days, he was rescued and given a second chance at a new life in the Byron shire! He was very skinny, even for a greyhound, but has been steadily putting on weight during his time is in foster care. As he gains weight and energy, his true personality is starting to shine, showing his love for people, dogs, the beach and life in general. He enjoys a quick run around but mostly likes just hanging out with his human. He can be a little shy in new situations but quickly warms up and will happily approach friendly new people and dogs. At home he loves cuddling up on the couch with his foster carer and being tucked into his nice warm bed every night. Please note he has not yet been fully tested with cats, livestock or wildlife. He has met one cat and showed no interest in chasing and catching her, in fact he seemed more interested in having a sniff and a play! However the cat was not running and was in fact moving very slowly so unfortunately we cannot guarantee he will not chase them and is probably best placed in a home without cats at this stage.

If you are interested in meeting and adopting Coco, please complete an Adoption Application form (found halfway down the Contact page of our website www.cawi.org.au/contact-us) or pick one up from our Op Shop at Brunswick Heads. Please return forms by email to cawidogs@hotmail.com or in person at our Op Shop. Applications will be processed and enquiries about Coco responded to on Friday.
