CAWI Dogs

CAWI Adoption fees: CAWI charges adoption fees to help cover the costs we have spent on the dog. Every CAWI dog is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, plus up to date with parasite prevention. Our fees for adoption are $300 for an adult dog, $350 for a puppy and $200 for a mature age dog.

CAWI takes pride in matching dogs with the right homes. We can advise on the dogs’ suitability as we have the insight gained by our foster carers. In addition, there is a 3 week trial and cooling off period for you and the dog – if things aren’t working out CAWI will take the dog back. We don’t want any mistakes for you or the dog.
The dogs on this page are CAWI rescue dogs. Some non-CAWI dogs that are looking for new homes are advertised on the PRIVATE ADS page.
Pounds often have nice dogs – there are some choice candidates advertised ON THIS PAGE OF OUR WEBSITE. It’s also worth contacting your local pound.

Solo

Update: 26/2/17 Solo has gone on a trial period with new owners

Solo is a very friendly and loving 8 month old staffy/lab x. He loves playing at the beach and with other dogs. He also likes playing tug of war with his rope toy, chasing balls and getting all the peanut butter out of his kong toy. He is very energetic so needs a family who can give him plenty of exercise and lots of stimulation. He would be best suited to a lifestyle where he is active all day long, even if it is just following you around at work. Solo is desexed, microchipped and is up to date with his vaccination and working/flea/tick treatments. He is an adventurer with lots of curiosity and was fittingly named after Han Solo from Star Wars. If you are interested in adopting Solo, please contact Megan on 0458461935

Bella

Update: 19/3/17 Bella is now on her trial period with adoptee parents.

Bella is a female black lab of almost 6 years old with a very friendly nature. She spent a short time in the pound before arriving at the CAWI Byron Dog Rescue, but this has all been part of the adventure for her and has not dampened her spirit in the slightest! She will charm you within seconds and will easily become a friend for life. She is great with other dogs, would like to play with the cats (if they’ll let her) and is not concerned either way with chickens. She may be entering middle age, but she is still full of youthful exuberance and has a whole lot of love to give. If you are interested in adopting Bella, please contact Megan on 0458461935.
