CAWI Dogs

CAWI Adoption fees: CAWI charges adoption fees to help cover the costs we have spent on the dog. Every CAWI dog is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, plus up to date with parasite prevention. Our fees for adoption are $300 for an adult dog, $350 for a puppy and $200 for a mature age dog.

CAWI takes pride in matching dogs with the right homes. We can advise on the dogs’ suitability as we have the insight gained by our foster carers. In addition, there is a 3 week trial and cooling off period for you and the dog – if things aren’t working out CAWI will take the dog back. We don’t want any mistakes for you or the dog.
The dogs on this page are CAWI rescue dogs. Some non-CAWI dogs that are looking for new homes are advertised on the PRIVATE ADS page.
Pounds often have nice dogs – there are some choice candidates advertised ON THIS PAGE OF OUR WEBSITE. It’s also worth contacting your local pound.

Zoe

2/11/17 Update: Zoe is on her trial period!

Zoe is a 10 month old kelpie cross with a beautiful nature who was found as a stray, wandering the streets and ended up at the pound. She loves human attention and gets along with other dogs, though can get a bit overexcited at times! She will need some training to teach her some basic manners, but she is a quick learner and is food motivated. She is a curious pup who is keen to learn from her humans and to play and explore as much of her world as she can. Zoe loves to be by your side as much as possible, but is fine when left home alone – as long as she gets quality time playing or running around at the dog beach or park too!

If you are interested in meeting and adopting Zoe, please complete the Adoption Application form available on the Contact page of our website or you can pick one up from our Op Shop in Brunswick Heads. Please return forms by email to cawidogs@hotmail.com or in person at the Op Shop. Alternatively, contact Megan on 0458461935 for more information about Zoe. Applications and enquiries will be responded to on Fridays.

Rocky

2/11/17 Update: Rocky is on trial with he’s new family

Rocky is an 18 month old labrador x kelpie. He is a lovely dog who loves going for rides in the car, going to the park or the beach and playing with other dogs. He came to CAWI after his previous owner became too ill to care for him. He has spent all his life living with another dog so would love the company of another canine in his new home, but will be happy to be the only dog in the house as long as he gets to play with other dogs at outings to the beach or park. Rocky is still young and, while he knows some basic commands, will need training and a good routine to help him settle into his new home. He is a quick learner so will no doubt learn the rules and routine of his new life easily and just needs a loving person or family to help him with it.

If you are interested in meeting and adopting Rocky, please complete the Adoption Application form available on the Contact page of our website www.cawi.org.au or you can pick one up from our Op Shop in Brunswick Heads. Please return forms by email to cawidogs@hotmail.com or in person at the Op Shop. Alternatively, contact Megan on 0458 461 935 for more information about Rocky. Applications and enquiries will be responded to on Fridays.

Sage

UPDATE: 12/09/17 Sage has gone on trail!

Sage is an 8 year old staffy x cattle dog. He is a loving, affectionate dog who likes a good run on the beach, playing in the waves and enjoying the great outdoors. He is quite timid at first, but doesn’t take long to get over his shyness – he then loves meeting new people and having a chat with them! He is intelligent and knows his basic commands such as sit, stop, go and shake hands. He has plenty of energy for a middle-aged dog and would love to share his life with fun-loving, playful individuals! He does not like skateboards at all and would prefer to live in the countryside rather than in town. He would be best in a gentle, loving home who can give him a good diet and exercise to help him lose some weight. Sage loves to be by your side so would also love to be allowed inside for cuddles in the evening!

The adoption fee for Sage is $200. If you are interested in meeting and adopting Sage, please complete the Adoption Application form available on the Contact page of our website www.cawi.org.au/contact-us or you can pick one up from our Op Shop in Brunswick Heads. Please return forms by email to cawidogs@hotmail.com or in person at our Op Shop. Alternatively, contact Megan on 0458461935 for enquiries about Sage. Applications and enquiries will be responded to on Fridays.
