Henry is a smart dog and has a big personality, and a gentle affectionate nature. Everyone who meets him is totally smitten. His previous owners have had him since he was 6 months old. He is very friendly and great with kids although he can sometimes be a bit too demonstrative for very little ones. He absolutely adores other dogs and human companionship so a good home for  him would either be with another dog or with someone who is at home a lot (or perhaps a tradie/farmer who takes the dog to work).

He’s fine with livestock, but chooks are a bit of a temptation. He can get frightened of people sometimes if they come into the yard without warning – he really is a bit of an all-round sook – he’s also afraid of heights and holes.

Henry doesn’t try to escape the yard, but would need a fenced area at least to start with. He mostly prefers to stay where he last saw his owners to wait for them to return.  We are looking for a an owner with good voice command.

Henry is need of a foster home where he can be loved and made to feel part of the family until we find him a new home – see our Help Us page for details of how our foster carer scheme works.
